1.课程简介：
This course introduces you to a range of statistical techniques which managers use. You will apply these techniques to relatively simple practical examples. To do this you need a calculator with a memory. For larger applications you will learn how to use Microsoft Excel to perform any of the calculations associated with these statistical techniques. The focus in this subject however is on how to analyze and interpret your own results or the output from Excel. You will learn how to apply these techniques by working with examples which are relevant to most major business disciplines and the functional areas of large organizations. These include examples from Accounting (particularly Auditing), Economics, Finance, Financial Planning, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Logistics and Transport and Marketing.

（1）Lei Ping is a senior lecturer of School of Statistics and Information at Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE). He has lectured more than ten rounds of some courses in statistics, such as Business Statistics (Eng), Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, Statistics (Eng), Statistical Software. He visited Georgia State University in 2012 and University of Alberta, Canada in 2017. He was funded by Shanghai Education Commission for two teaching programs, “the Shanghai All-English Course (Business Statistics,2013-2016) and “Shanghai International Students All-English Teaching Course (Business Statistics,2015-2017). He published two textbooks, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, translated Anderson's classic statistical textbook Business and Statistics (Mechanic Industry Press 2018, 2015). He won the honorary titles of Shanghai All-English Model Teaching Course, Shanghai International Students All-English Model Teaching Course, and was awarded the third prize of the Shanghai Young Teacher Teaching Competition (Natural Science Group, 2016), Shanghai University of Foreign Economics and Trade Teaching Standard Soldier (2012), Shanghai University of Foreign Economics and Trade All-English Teacher Teaching Quality Award (2011), Shanghai University of Foreign Economics and Trade Young Teacher Teaching Quality Award (2008).
Lei Ping is the course coordinator of Business Statistics. He is responsible for the overall planning, course designing and video processing.
（2）Liu Yonghui is a Professor of Statistics at SUIBE. He is Member of the Steering Committee of the Statistical Professional Teaching Committee of the Ministry of Education (2018-2022), Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of the China Institute of Foreign Economic and Trade Statistics, Executive Director of the Institute of Financial Measurement and Risk Management of the China Institute of Management Science and Engineering, Executive Director of the Resources and Environment Branch of the China Field Statistics Research Association. He is associate editor in the national economic and management statistics series of teaching materials editorial board, was selected in Shanghai Talent Development Capital Plan. Professor Liu’s research areas are statistical diagnostics, financial measurement and trade statistics. More than 90 academic papers have been published in important academic journals, including more than 20 SCI and CSSCI papers. He lectures on Business Statistics (Eng), Application Time Series Analysis and Mathematical Finance these years. He won the second prize of Shanghai Outstanding Teaching Achievement, Baogang Education Foundation Outstanding Teacher Award, Shanghai Yucai Award and China's financial education advanced workers and other honors.
（3）Dr. Zhao Qian is an Associate Professor at School of Statistics and Information, SUIBE. She got her Ph.D. degree at Macquarie University majored in Applied Finance and Actuarial Studies in 2015. She has 2.5 years Ph.D. studies in Australia and rich oversea visiting experience (used to be visiting fellows of the University of Hong Kong, the University of Melbourne and Macquarie University). Her research interests are actuarial studies, financial mathematics and risk management. She is the principle investigator of two projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China. More than a dozen SSCI and SCI academic papers have been published in international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Zhao has been teaching Business Statistics (Eng) at SUIBE for over 4 years and is popular with the students. She was awarded Shanghai Young Oriental Scholar (2016) and Teaching Quality Award among All-in-English Teachers in SUIBE (2017).
